Do you have a favorite family portrait in black and white that you wish was color? We can fix that. Why are they black and white in the first place? In the early days of photography black and white was pretty much your only option. Those who had a few extra dollars to spend on their portraits could have their prints colorized with paint and dyes. One significant limitation to colorizing a black and white portrait then was simply that each print had to be colorized individually. As a result, most people would colorize one print and leave the rest black and white.
It was color when the portrait was taken! Even as color film and prints became available it was expensive and many still chose the less expensive black and white alternative. Making the transition worse, early color processes were flawed leaving the prints to quickly fade or shift colors. There are many people who have faded color senior portraits, family portraits or wedding pictures from the late 60's and 70's, over time the colors have shifted and faded.
THE SOLUTION We are able to take black and white images and add color to them, since we work with digital images we are able to create multiple prints without colorizing them individually! While it is difficult and does have some limitations, we are able to recover faded color images making them nearly as bright and vivid as the day they were first taken.
